Alban Arthan, Yule, the Winter Solstice, is the darkest day of the year, celebrated from dusk on the 21st to dawn on the 22nd. From now on there’s one more minute of light every day, yay! But it makes me reflect…
Monica... this is so beautiful it released the tears and frustration that has been building in me. Thank you for your meaningful words, they articulate so well the thoughts in my head and the hope in my heart. Blessings of the Solstice and the season to you. 💕
Thank you for this account of your thoughts and experience on the shortest day of the year. I remember a childhood friend who was a few years older than me, Charles Woolfson, telling me that "Nothing is permanent". This had a profound effect on me and left me with the knowledge that all things must pass. We sat on a hill, somewhere in Cheshire, and we looked at the countless stars in the black sky. Your heartfelt words reminded me of the story we leave behind as we travel through to the end of our time here on planet Earth. May you live in peace and harmony. Love from us all.
Thank you for putting into words the hope I feel on Winter Solstice. I always try to plant some seeds as a symbol of the abundance that is coming.
This is so lovely and everything I didn’t know I needed to read after the longest night of the year. Thank you 💚

Sorry just realised daylight changes very different to southern england.
Enjoy your blogs. Just a small correction daylight increases by over 2 minutes a day at present increasing by 3 minutes in Spring.
